Early Detection with EmberGuard

EmberGuard is an early wildfire detection platform that uses gas sensors, edge AI, and long-range wireless communication to detect the chemical signs of fire before flames or smoke are visible. Each sensor node monitors combustion-related gases, including VOCs, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide, before sending alerts via a radio frequency.

Unlike traditional wildfire detection systems that rely on cameras, satellites, or human observation, EmberGuard is designed to detect fires at ground level, where combustion typically begins. Its distributed sensor network can be adapted to different environments, including neighborhoods, forests, grasslands, farms, utility corridors, and wildland-urban interface zones. By combining low-cost hardware with localized chemical detection, EmberGuard’s goal is to make early wildfire warning more accessible, faster, and more practical for communities at risk.
